Kilt Pin Location

Being that I'm new to the "formal" kilt scene I have to ask, is there a "correct" location for the kilt pin? As in, three inches above the hem and 2 inches from the edge...ect. Or, is it pretty much where ever it looks best?

I'd go with where it'll look best. I don't think there are steadfast rules to the exact location and depending on the size and shape there couldn't be. Your kilt, your way.
