Too bad for him, but I don't like the lady they interviewed about Kilts. Mrs Adamson-Ross says that "Sean Connery is one of the worst-dressed Scotsmen" . Sean Connery can do no wrong.

Good on Nick Fiddes for his comments, tho! As for setting Scottish attire back 100 years by not wearing a sporran, umm, I'm afraid I do that sometimes as well.

Yeah, I didn't understand the remark about Sean Connery either; I've never seen anything amiss with his kilt outfits, and, as I understood it, he is a sort of patron saint of kilt wearers.

Some of the comments left on the article by Scots deserved to be challenged though and I did challenge them!

Looking at the source will give you a clue. It's not the most Scottish-oriented publication there is, aye? Names can be deceiving.

Must be luck of the draw re seeing kilts Alex!
Mrs Adamson-Ross does seem to have some weird ideas about when a plaid is acceptable and what kitting out Julia Roberts is to do with men and kilts I have no idea!
I didn't realise that the Edinburgh Evening News was part of the Scotsman empire but looks like how it handles its coverage is just as poor!

Kid Cossack -
Referencing the Claymore mine, Foxworthy's Law (they wouldn't make a rule or post a sign if somebody hadn't done it!) applies to what is printed on the other side:
Do Not Eat Contents.

Just read your comments on the article..... Well stated, sir!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
