    Lightbulb ideas on a DEATHMETAL sporran.

    Right you lot! I need ideas on a death metal sporran for my son. Traditional style or RobRoy? What would make it stand out as a Deathmetal sporran. {No severed heads, please.}

    All I can think of is buying spikes and putting them on it.

    Spikes, chains, maybe a metal cutout of "The Punisher" skull logo?

    Actually, I'd say make the sporran square. Out of leather for the body. Perfectly square. Good solid sturdy leather.

    Then affix a jigsaw cut of metal plates to it somehow. Not one solid sqaure plate for the front of the sporran, but a square cut in to 5 or six jigsaw pieces. Over black leather. It'd look like shattered metal bits if you did it right. The lid of the sporran should also be squared off with the jigsaw metal bits affixed somehow.

    This sounds like a good idea. Maybe some thin gage diamond plate. Thats been polished.

    i think dread has the best idea, with the discription he's giving it would be a pretty amazing sporran

    just black leather and hang it from some meat-hooks from the metal studded belt. (extra points if you dib them in blood first ;-) ) and have a huge skull as buckle! :P (metal is about the total package ;)

    instead of tasles you could put on inverted crosses or something if your son is into that.

    I was thinking of using diamond plate for the flap, at least he won't shred his hands open looking for his keys.

    Well -

    I would go with a Celtic paterned leather belt with a Danzig Skill buckle, and a traditional plain or tooled black leather sporran - adorned with teeth. Sometimes simplicity is SO much better...
