My replies
Went up to the Brecon Beacons and the Red Cow Inn on Sat. As usual, we called in The Wetherspoons Pub in Merthyr whilst waiting for the little hopper bus. Once again I met with a couple of jerks whilst there. Sat next to us were three guys in their 30's, shaven heads etc eating breakfasts. The one guy with his mouth full, spluttered 'Whats you wearing that thing for then'.
I replied 'Because I'm a man, not a mouse, why - what are you'.
He kept himself to himself from then. Then when I went to the bar, this guy in his 60's looked and said, 'My, don't you look pretty'. I looked at him in the face and said 'What other hobbies you got'. He looked a little confused and went back to drinking his beer.
Then as a complete contrast whislt waiting in a bus stop yesterday to see my Mother on the bus home, 4 teenage girls turned up. They all said hello and carried on babbling as they do. Might as well had jeans on.
Anyhow, Ive taken loads of pics in the past from Pontsticill but heres one from last sat. It was very very windy.

I'm getting use to it now. Most of the comments I get are positive...and everyone else I either shut them down right away with a smart *** answer or just laugh at them and turn and walk away.

Kilted KT .. I was onced asked ... 'is it true what they say'. I said 'yes - you can buy train tickets much cheaper on line'. If asked directly I would have to use one of the stock x marker ones.
Nick .. I really do hope we one day meet and I shall enjoy the beer ( I will of course buy you one back) .. and another .. guess we'd have a good night out. Elaine will get us back safely and in one piece.
Trefor ... yep, its a beautiful day here today. You'll have to come on the next trek to the Red Cow Tref.

Short Rant
So depressing to contemplate the fragility (and the need to impress) of the ego demonstrated by the jealous or non-thinking male.....
This is learned behavior. It's so sad that even in 2007, males are accustomed to thinking that having less choice makes them more likely to get approval from those around them.
Men feeling that they can elevate their own status by doing the 'skirt' comment makes me wonder what kind of internal thought proccesses they have.
Even more irritating is when the 'nice skirt' line comes from a woman. Usually wearing jeans, and having no ability to think beyond the next daytime crap talk show, I don't tend to take them seriously - even if their tattoo's are spelled correctly..
I always feel so sorry for those guys who are so suppressed and restricted by their fragile malehood that they can't be civilised - especially when they're trying to impress their buddies (redneck or otherwise).
There's got to be something wrong with the way guys are programmed......

I'd be more than happy to check out the programming, if someone can wrest the source code from those who wrote it!
