San Francisco Zoo Kilted
We went to the zoo today, mostly kilted. I did NOT wear either one of my mini kilts, seeing as it was very windy and chilly. As usual, someone must wear the pants in the family!

It was a lot of fun to just stand back and watch people watching Panache and the kids go by. I heard a lot of ,"Look! It's a Scottish family!", and several folks who sort of looked askance at Panache, who then warmed up as soon as they saw the kids.

There was a warm air vent in the Rainforest area, that did a passable Marilyn Monroe...

This shows it a little better-ain't he cute?

The animals didn't mind the kilts as long as you had food! Here's Panache, thinking, "How hard is it to shear the sheep, for a true DIY experience?"

Xena just wants to touch them all

Our little one, all worn out on the way home

All in all, we had a great time, despite (or perhaps because of) the wind. I've found that when we go out on a windy day, it's best if I walk close behind my husband to catch the kilt before the wind gets too revealing!
Be well,

Thank you for the pictures, F-HCAG. It's nice to see you having a fine (kilted) family outing. It brings back memories for me.

My first response was how does a zoo get Kilted?
Of course my humor is a bit off.
Fantastic photos!!!

I love the one of you feeding the sheep Panache - gives me the idea of the caption:
"One day, you too could be in a kilt!"

LOL''!!!
I thought the same thing McClef when I saw that picture ....
Maybe Kathy can put that photo in the next edition of her book with the caption ..."The Kilt -From Raw Form to Finished Product"

Great Pics! I remember my youngins' fallin asleep in their carseats. I Miss those sweet little angels. I wonder who swapped my angels for demons,when did they do it, and why didn't I notice? {they will soon be 18 & 15}

Gee, and I thought it was the marriage that gives the "Seven Year Itch," not the wool in the kilt...

Great pictures! Looks as though it was a super outing!
