Hello from California.
Hey everyone. I'm new to the boards. As you may have guessed from my SN, I'm a Henderson. I know it's Scottish, and that Hendersons lived in Glencoe, Fordell, Ireland and a few other places, but that's all I know. I think my aunt has it all traced out, but I can't find her phone number, confound it.
Oh well, I'm glad to be aboard.

Welcome to X marks the Scot from another Californian.
Whereabouts in the Golden State do you reside? We have quite a few kilted here; Northern, Southern, and even one from the Inland Empire. The Nor Cal Rabble have a regular Kilt Night the last Friday of the month in Belmont.
Cheers
Jamie

I suspect that the Hendersons on the board are going to give you a loud welcome, but from here in Snellville Georgia, just a southern.... "welcome y'all"!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Thanks for the welcome everyone!
Panache, I'm from central cali, around Fresno. There's not a lot of kilt wearers around, so I get plenty of weird looks when I go out on St. Patrick's day.

Welcome to the forum from another in the Great Central Valley of California - only a couple hours north of you, but not nearly as far as Gridley.
There is a couple from Fresno who took a kiltmaking class with me last year. Their intention was to open a business with bagpipe supplies and kilt rentals. I could dig up more info on them, if you need it.
BTW, the 30th Annual Fresno Games are coming up on Saturday, Sept 15th. There should be a few kiltwearers there.
