Wonderfull photos, Victoria is one of our very favorite cities. We've strolled down there by the harbor many times. I wish we could have been there!

I wish all of us could be there...it is a really special place.
Ought to be a potential site for a N. American Xsmarks clan gathering some day.

Thanks for those pics. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the wonderful sights Victoria has to offer. My U.S. passport application went in ten weeks ago, and with only five weeks to go, perhaps I'll have it in hand in time.

Were these caber tosses for demonstration only? At highland games down south here, the athletes never wears sporrans while competing.

Actually you can still cross the border with a drivers license / State ID card and a copy of your birth certificate if using ground (or water) transportation.
The new congress is even looking at removing the silly passport requirment for USA / Canada travel all together.

Yes Dee, but you might not be able to get back into the US as things stand right now. Did the driving regs for going into the US via auto not just change to require a passport, or was that airlines. I know one was before the other but can't remember which.
Yes, Cessna, that is the Empress in that picture. We had the pleasure of staying there last time we were in Victoria (gift certificates ). Beautiful hotel.
