To hard to pass up a SWK Standard Hunting McLeod for $66.50
To good to pass up! I just purchased a SWK Standard Hunting McLeod for $66.50 from Jerry at SWK. That's right $66.50. I hope I don't cause SWK's website to crash from the overload of orders, sorry Jerry if it does. So I ordered matching flash and tie and another kilt hanger for just over $100 with shipping. I already have one SWK and love it. Man, I've got a kilt jones now. So for anyone looking for an excellent value, check it out.

I'll tell you what, SWK had me running for a while there! Hunting McLeod, Irish National, heavyweight Black Watch, heavyweight shadow tartans in black, saffron and green . . . and a weathered Lamont. Good stuff, and the shipping is as close to Star Trek's transporter beams as we're likely to encounter for a while.

tartan and tie?
Well , it all sounds great, but after checking in the formidable "So you want to wear the kilt?" book and a referennce by a clan chieftan himself [ Mc Tavish ] it appears that one never wears tartan above the waist if one is wearing a kilt. Really. Of course, that's in Scotland, and we are in Uhmurica.

... or unless you are the clan chief, in which case you make your own rules; e.g. I give you Sir Malcolm MacGregor of MacGregor, Bart., 24th Chief of Clan Gregor. I think his middle name is also Gregor, does anyone recall? so he ought to know what to do with a tartan.

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with his outfit -- I rather like it.

Okay, took me a while to figure out you meant the necktie. Of course that presumes he was going to wear the aforementioned tie with the kilt, and doesn't explain the use of fly plaids. But in any event, it doesn't warrant a visit from . . . .
Best regards,

Yes. It's kind of like this one, only I think this fella pulls it off better.

I prefer the bias cut jacket, and not just 'cause Sir Malcolm is my clan chief.
