    My Wedding!

    Just finished with the ceremony

    Walking out with my wife!

It isnt really official until you sign the paperwork.

    Our guys and girls.

    Just us.

We had Irish Step Dancers at the wedding. Everyone thought that was the coolest thing. Most had never seen them perform before, and were absolutely blown away.
One really cool thing was one of the dancers came up and gave the Bride a dozen roses, then each dancer came up and gave her an indivual rose. We didnt ask them to do that and had no idea they planned it! It was awesome.

I may have taken more time than was strictly necessary taking the garter off.

    The rings.

These are just the preliminary photo's, as we just got home and well, I have other things to do...

I will post more, we had a piper and a kilted hammer dulcimer player as well. I might not be online a whole lot for a little bit though.

Congratulations on your wedding, from one recently-married kiltie to another. You and your lovely bride make a handsome couple.

Those are awesome pictures. I especially like the matching tartan trim on her wedding dress. And it looks like it was a heck of party!

    Best,

    Cirthalion

I totally agree. That was a very creative stroke.

Congratulations on taking your first steps together. May you have many, many more.

Due to some of those other things I would rather be doing with my new wife, I still have not gotten the other photos up.

Thanks all for the well wishes, semper fi indeed seems appropriate in this case.

Rachael added the tartan trim to the dress herself, courtesy of one chopped up and customised SWK leatherneck economy. She also made a short white jacket with tartan ruffles, but it was just too warm a day to wear it.

The groomsmens outfits were kilts from Stillwater, as were the sporrans. I really cannot say enough about how great Jerry and the crew at SWK are. They really helped me out, were incredibly responsive, and as you all know, you dont even ge a chance to anticipate their arrival before they get there.

The shirts were actually from Dickies, a really nice heavyweight cotton and I had military creases pressed into them. My PC was a rental, but after seeing how good it looked I have to go buy one myself.

Ok, back to the honeymoon! I'll see you in a week!
