    Lesson learned

Always make sure you adjust your apron after sweeping the pleats and sitting down. Learn from my mistake kids always adjust your apron. I was at a family get together tonight for Victoria Day of course I was kilted, I was sitting across from my sister in law, well about a half hour later my brother comes up to me and in front of a bunch of people he says in a loud voice "Stop flashing my wife."
This is the same brother who has a problem with me wearing a kilt, so I say to him well I am sorry, but perhaps you could have taken me aside to discuss this instead of bringing it up in front of all these people. The upshot of it is that everyone I was talking to were a little uncomfortable at first but the ice was broken again when one of the guys says at least you're wearing the kilt correctly, and nobody will ask you the question. All in all it was a good night but I must remember to be vigilant with the apron adjustment.

Maybe your brother is just sour grapes about the kilt. Don't let his negativity get to you.

If the woman was flashing the guys nothing would have been said. Another example of the double standard.

Just tell your brother that you now realize the need to start wearing a longer kilt

    Cawdorian, and Kizmet
I seem to remember a thread going this way not to long ago, and it had to be locked, lets not go down the same road again. I did not bring up my experience last night to discuss any kind of double standard perceived or real, or to discuss any Hollywood party girl. Thanks.

Yep, every time. A quick chop to the apron and and slight spread to the legs as you're sitting and never a worry.

"Sweep... and sit ... and tuck."

Hamish said it with a nice rhythm which seems to make a nice memory-aid.
