I've been there twice. I'm sure I'll go again. You might want to have a already been there and and live there category

I am driving up in less than three weeks time for Howie Nicholsby's (TFCK) loch-side wedding near Oban. This six day trip will include one overnight stop each way at The Ferintosh, Dumfries. Having attended the Ferintosh Burns Weekend in January, this regrettably looks like being my only other visit north of the border this year! I will be at the 2008 Ferintosh Burns celebrations, combined with a few days in Edinburgh, next January however.

We leave on Tuesday the 19th. I went to the Ferintosh Burns Supper in January and we're going back for a week at Ferintosh and then a few days in Edinburgh. Sadly we will miss Hamish in Dumfries by one day.

Then of course there is next year's Burns Supper.

The 2007 Ferintosh Burns supper was it for this year...we go to Bretagne (France) in August.

For 2008 we have a bit more in the making...

    -2008 Ferintosh Burns supper in January (4 days...Jan 24/28)
-In May...10 days...2 days in Dumfries (Ferintosh), 7 days Speyside (a cottage), 1 day Edinburgh (SMWS).
-Storrington weekend in June...not Scotland, but still.

I'm not sure if I will make it this summer. But, I will be sending my son to visit his sister as soon as we can get the timing and logistics straightened out. He has been advised to take lots of pictures for us (and that includes X marks) and for his photography class.

My kids and I go to Orlando every Spring for our annual mouse visit. My son wants to go to Scotland next year instead. (didn't take much to convince me!) The biggest problem we have is my daughters college schedule. How is Scotland in the Summer? It may be our only available travel time in 2008.
