    Fergus 2007

    Linky
    August 10th - 12th.
MacHummel has reserved a couple of campsite for SOKS. So who all is attending, who all is camping?
This will be my first Scottish festival and highland games. I for one will be camping out and will most likely become a tad inebriated. The last time I got drunk in Fergus was a dozen years ago at a volunteer firefighters convention in which I became a titch tipsy and shaved a big "6" in my chest hair. So this year I suppose I should shoot for a rampant lion.

You Canadians sure seem to know how to party!

Perhaps someday The lovely F-H.C.A.G. and I will be able to venture North, but now I am a bit worried. With only nineteen chest hairs I really can't afford to lose any!

    Cheers

Party? That is just a fallacy, with our drinking/driving laws so tough it would make Paris Hilton break down and cry. Since the forming of SOKS this past winter no one has actually had the chance to let loose and drink. Most are an hours drive in each direction of the SOKS hub at the western end of Lake Ontario, Robert of RKilts is two hours away. So we move around each month. Fergus will give us this opportunity to show how us Ontario boys can party... the women of Ontariois another matter entirely. Do you know that I with gorgeous, flowing, golden locks and firm round buttocks has not been kilt checked since February! Yet leather-clad Robert the elder, bald, pudgy 'n' pierced Improv1 and Glen "look at the Lochcarron 16oz Isle of Bloody Skye" McMurdo have all had their fair share. Even two funny talking Yanks* from either side of the Mason-Dixon line have been up here stealing my tipsy OKC's! I'll show them, I'll superglue thier zippers shut while they sleep!!!

Bitter you say? Why just a bit!

If you're worried maybe you should send "The lovely F-H.C.A.G." up first I'm sure we will be able to look after her (no doubt she can do well on her own)
We doubt she will even notice Grant...so she's perfectly safe!
And if you decide to come without her...we shall braid your chest hairs...soak them in scotch and let the Irish Wolfhound lick them off...very civil!
Just don't fall asleep! or Grant will carry you to the pipers tent area and then you won't hear a thing for weeks..it will keep your mind off, what was it ...19 hairs on that chest of yours?
    Cheers

    That is truly outstanding Pete.

Through pm's that nobody, not even MacHummel, have read. Pete has graciously voluntold to host the SOKS at Fergus Scottish festival. he has already grabbed the bull by the horn and reserved two campsites for the event. Pete will pass along all pertinent information as he gets it and will patiently answer all stupid questions as I arise them. Kiltos dude the first round is on Dick. Now, that just didn't sound right but I think Dick is into it.

Q1. When do we pay for the site?
Q2. when will you order the tickets?
Q3. Could you look after the collection of fees through PayPal?
Q4. Why do men have nipples?
Q5. What are the rules of the festival?
Q6. In what order are we going to breaking the rules?
    Q7. Who all's coming?

Brilliant idea Dee, we should have a blue ribbon competition! What say all? Do you want to go up against me in a KC competition? Dick you bring the ribbon that you 'stole' from me in Dunnville.

Well I do not think I will be wearing the IOS until at least night time in Fergus, so as I am going up this week to pick up my Maple Leaf we will be on an equal playing field my friend, then we shall see, oh yes we shall see...
