When is it not time for a kilt night?
My wife and I are up for that date. Any of the locations would work but the Frederick one is pushing it for us (we would probably have to leave fairly early.) Given our location, the Gettysburg spot would be our first pick. Since we are on an Irish pub theme, might I also suggest O'Lordans Irish Pub and Restaurant in Westminster.
Its funny you mentioned the Shamrock Restaurant. Last week on the return trip from the Potomac Celtic Festival, my wife mentioned how we always drive by that place but have never eaten there.
I am in Gettysburg frequently for service calls at the hospital but have never heard of O'Rorke's. I will definitely be checking that place out soon. Thanks for the tip.

Well, so far that date is open for me. I'm up for it. Since it's a Saturday, any of those spots would be okay with me.

We have a suggestion for O'Lordans in Westminister. Heres a link to its webpage
http://www.olordansirishpub.com/
This might bring in some of the people from Baltimore and the DC area.
Lets here some more suggestions for spots then we will do a vote. My idea is that once we get this started we start rotating locations so that noone has far to drive after a few pints.

That's quite a haul for me but it might be possible. Once we finish border reiving I'll give the logistics some more thought. It would be nice to get together with the rabble somewhere other than in Scotland. (So far the only kilt nights I've been to are in Scotland (and there is another tonight).
Take care.

My own preferences are, in order:
Frederick
Thurmont
Westminister
Gettysburg
Any other locations would work too, but I wouldn't really want to travel any farther than Gettysburg.
July 14th is fine for me. I'm busy the next three weekends, but that one is still open.

Don't forget that Barley Juice is in Gettysburg on the 21th
O'lourdans is a nice place and we may be able to use one of the rooms if we can muster enough of the rabble.

Should One of us contact O'Lourdans to reserve a room?

Umm, I'm not sure if O'Lordans has been decided on yet.
I will volunteer to call and make reservations where ever everyone decides on, but we first need a definite location and an approximate number of people attending. That assumes everyone thinks we need reservations.
Of the locations suggested, I'm only familiar with O'Lordans set up. They have a small smoking dining area on the first floor that is open to their bar, a separate room called the cottage that they occasionally reserve (though I doubt we have enough people for that,) upstairs (non-smoking) I have seen them put a large table together for bigger groups (more likely,) and they do have upstairs and downstairs outdoor dining area (both smoking and non-smoking.)
I am assuming the July 14th date works for everyone as I have not seen any other suggested dates. This is approaching fast. May I suggest a final vote and number of people attending. We can reserve a few extra spaces as well.
Please mention if any of these locations will cause anyone not to make it. Personally, I'd rather travel a little farther if it means we have more people. You may as well mention smoking preference too.
I am planning on attending with my wife, so two for me and my vote is for O'Lordans (Westminster) 1st, O'Rorkes (Gettysburg) 2nd, Bushwallers (Frederick) 3rd, and Shamrock (Thurmont) 4th. Neither of us smoke.

About what time is every one interested in meeting? I will have to get home and get cleaned up. I have been transferred to the outpost. My drive time to new office is 2 hours. Hopefully, I'll not make that trip but once in a while.
