    UHHHG USPS Stinks!

So I ordered my first kilt from a company ( I don’t want to name them because it’s not there fault). I’ve never used the USPS but man it stinks!! According to them my kilt was delivered last week but alas there is still no sign of it. I’ve tried to call the USPS to see who signed for it but they can’t say and they can’t confirm the freakin address. I mean they could of just given it to a homeless guy and say it’s delivered. UHG. I will never use them again and will always offer to pay extra for UPS; to steer from this hassle and lack of customer service.

Sorry, I’m just a little steamed!

Can you get in touch with the vendor? Perhaps they can try to track the shipment from their end.

Yea, I've e-mailed them and I'm just waiting for a reply. They are pretty good about communicating, never the less I’m still ticked at USPS!

Call the postmaster at your local post office. Those guys are typically very good about helping solve the problems.

Not in Chicago.. I’ve tired that but first the package was sent to about 4 different PO’s here. The other issue is that the only number I can get is there 1-800-USELESS number. I think I’ll get off early today.. I’ll swing by the closest one here and see what they say.

Um, no. No, they are not.

A few years ago, our local mail carrier pepper-sprayed one of my dogs (she's the one who died last Friday) through a five-and-a-half foot tall chain link fence while she was in the back yard.

The USPS not only did NOT fire the carrier for misusing his pepper spray, they left him on the same route.

The USPS is no better than any real United States Government agency at solving internal problems. They're simply a privately-owned government subsidized monopoly, with all of the attendant problems that come with such a hairball.

I'm having similar problems. I live in the Scotland. A friend of mine in Dublin wanted a print of one of my photographs from the wonderful Deviantart.com.
So I ordered it and had it send usps rather than UPS.

6 weeks later it still wasn't there.
8 weeks lated it had been 'delivered' but they didn't know where to.
Deviantart very, very kindly sent another copy free of charge.

4 weeks later it had been 'delivered' but, again, they didn't know where to.

From now on I'll always pay the extra.

Good luck with the whole debacle.

When I get shipments from the states I request USPS. I definately won't go UPS with their hiked up duties and brokerage fees. Now this is for cross border shipments but for me things get tied up when Canada Post get their hands on the package. Then again Canada to UK is lightening fast as compared to North America.
