If anyone out there has or gets a kilt made in the Brown family tartan PLEASE post some pics. I would kill to see one. I've only seen swatches.

I've managed to live this long by not posting pix of a Brown family tartan. However, I could be beaten half to death for submission of some thread from my wool sweater!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

A kilt made of the Brown tartan is on my wish list. I have a scarf made of the Brown tartan, it is a beautiful tartan. I have never seen a kilt made of this tartan. Any of the kiltmakers will supply you with a small swatch of the material (for a small fee).

Clan Douglas is also claiming the Browns.

The best explanation of the Brown sept to Clan link I've seen is offered by the MacMillans on their web site.

Eventually I'd like to get Matt to make one up, as soon as I'm done school and making a little money. So many tartans, so little money.

Cheers! I don't think I'll be getting one of those vests anytime soon, but great to see the tartan on a larger scale than a tiny swatch.
