    New kilts!!!!

Well, a short while ago I bought two very reasonably priced off the rack kilts at a local kiltmakers during their sale.
(And later found them available on Ebay but more expensive.)

I passed them on to my dear mother who took altered them so that they wouldn't be too long on me and, as usual, she did a smashing job.
And was thus rewarded with many gifts.

Here are some bad pictures taken late at night.
I am sure I will take some better ones in a few days.

First, here is me in my new solid navy kilt. (About 11-13oz)

And, my lovely new 13 oz Tweed kilt. (And very comfortable it is, too.)

Both kilts are really comfortable and fit just great with a bit of leeway if I loose or gain more weight.
That brings the Kollection up to 4 with a denim kilt on order from Unionkilts and a Tank on order for the wedding.

Two good looking kilts there, Arlen.
Kilts in Tweed seem to be coming more fashionable.
You will love the denim Union kilt - I've had mine a few months now and besides being very comfortable have had a few very positive comments with trouser clad guys approaching me and asking where they can buy one.

Great Arlen! You say you found that tweed one on Ebay as well? Interesting... I agree with Alex: tweed DOES to be gaining steam as of late. I know I myself want one.

Good find Arlen, both look great. The navy in particular looks superb.

I too agree, great kilt. I have not ventured to the non-traditional tartans and thanks for sharing those kilts with me.

    Thanks for all the compliments.
Yes, you can get a few tweed kilts by the same Mill on Ebay through the infamous Gold brothers heritage of Scotland.
I am actually really happy with the quality of mine, so I think it is worth keeping an eye out for one in your size.

All in all I am happy with my new kilts. They are comfortable and you can't beat the price.
I am actually thinking of ordering another tweed one when my pay comes in.

Unfortunately, the cost of shipping this kilt to the US is GBP 25 or about US$50, more than the cost of the kilt.

    That is a shame.
Well, hopefully someone over there will find a similar deal.
