Thumbs up The Perfect Reason to Wear a KILT!!

So... it's just three weeks since my ankle surgery and I am able to get up and about more (although cannot put any weight on the leg). But at least I do not have any reason to not wear a kilt. It's so much more convenient than slacks or shorts.

Had the cast off yesterday and replaced with an air cast. The cast technician said that in his 18 years experience, I was the first kilted patient!! My surgeon raised his eyebrows when he saw me, but made no comment.

Still have four more weeks in a cast and on crutches before starting to walk.

This is me just before leaving for Duke and the cast change.

When I was selling Utilikilts we sold a lot to people in wheel chairs, or who had other problems with their legs. It's so much easier wrapping a kilt around your waist than trying to fight a pair of pants over unresponsive or injured legs.

Hey you look good, even with the cast ans crutches.

How do you like New Bern? (My folks split their time between Smithfield NC and Calabash.) One of my first demolition project in NC was the rear of the old Hotel New Bern. I loved the town.

Sorry to hijack. Back to kilts.

Good to see you up and walking (hobleing) around. I was about to send a message to see how ye were doing, but you beat me to it. And yes, a medical excuse to wear a kilt. That works.

    That's a good look.

...though how about putting some matching flashes on those crutches. Now that's accessorising!

Just noticed this is an old thread. I trust you're well healed now.

You look good in the kilt - but that expression on your face tells a whole different story!

Pained, tired, pissed, tired, frustrated, tired, and that's only getting started. And you look tired too!

    But - for me:

The Perfect Reason to Wear a KILT is:

    I'm breathing!
