Bad girls find out for themselves!
I was in a heavy metal pub in Belgium, wearing my black kilt, with some friends and was my time to get the beers. I went to the bar and a woman, around 40, say something to me in dutch, I replayed that i do not speak ducth. She make a signal to me to turn around. So I did. I was expecting her to look at the pleats or something like that. To my surprise I felt her hand in my butt, grab the textile then pushing... She felt my underwear and looked at me desapointed... :S I was surprised, but in the end I was not upset as I was with the girl that asked me why I was wearing a skirt, a couple of hours before...
Also people usualy get really desapointed when I replay to the question with a "yes, Im using underwear". But know I think the question very unpolite and now I answer "Do you want to see"?

Did you say she was an elderly nun?

Honestly, if a woman OR a man just grabs, that's reason enough to take careful aim and break their nose, if you ask me. I wouldn't hesitate to do it, either.....and kilt and cordiality and gentlemanliness be damned. There's basic decency, too.
She knew you didn't speak Dutch, and yet she decided that HER interest in what might or might not be under your kilt was more important than YOUR preferences regarding your privacy. If you'd walked up to her and spoken to her in Russian, and she didn't understand Russian, so you just groped her ther ein public in the bar, would you be surprised if she laid her hand across your face as hard as she possibly could?
no.
"The Question" is one thing. Teasing is one thing. ASKING and then going for it when you receive a "yes" answer is entirely fine. This is totally different.

I agree.. and if you want to get technical, what they did can be litigated as sexual assault or assault and battery. I think self defence would be warranted here.

There's also the very real issue of whether the woman in question needs to learn a lesson in simple decency. The fact that, totally sober, she'd grope a man in public suggests that somewhere along the line, she didn't learn a couple of very simple lessons in human relations.
Giving her a lesson in those basics is in fact, doing her a favor.

I agree with you, Alan. Just don't let the lesson consist of punching her nose. That would sort of speak against "didn't learn a couple of very simple lessons in human relations"

I'm probably extraverted and controverted and reverted and perverted and downright demented, but sometimes I'll take all the attention I can get!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Hear, hear!
I find it odd... all of the times people here get incredibly mad when someone either asks the question, or performs an impromptu check. All of the talk of rude comments to people, or popping them in the nose, just baffles me.
I'm fine with either... question, or kilt check. Maybe i'm just a bit of a manwhore like that, as its only women that do it... either way, I couldn't be bothered to be upset about it.
a) Female attention is never unwanted
b) I realise that i'm dressed against the norm, so I can expect odd reactions
You could go on about privacy, decency, manners, etc... but, to quote myself, "Morality Is Subjective".
My 2c....
