County Armagh, 8 yard 13 oz

When I called in at the local kilt shop this morning the proprietor had good news - my County Armagh had just arrived from the kiltmaker in Edinburgh.
He kept it to remove the basting stitches and give it a press and I was able to go back and collect it this afternoon.

This brings my kilt collection to 20.

Very nice. That would be one of the County tartans I would consider, as it's one of the Counties I've heard associated with the Smiths.

I like that bright blue and yellow combination. Very striking. Nice kilt!

My guess is if there's a sudden surge in sales of that tartan it'll be due to alumni of the various stateside universities that sport those colors...

Was about to say the same... i've seen 2 different Armagh tartans, and the County Crest version is rather bright. The other one is very muted...

The fabric probably came from Marton Mills as when I ordered the kilt, the shop proprietor said the tartan was one from the Counties Collection and he could get it for me in 13 oz or 16 oz weight.
