This oughta be interesting ..
I'm wearing my XMTS to see the Fenians play in Newport this afternoon, Santa Ana winds are blowing pretty good too. I've not had any strong wind experiences kilted so I'll let you know how it flies.

Hope you have a well loaded sporran.
I love the Santa Ana's, well except for the heat. I plan on going for a walk in the park later today.

The Santa Anas are starting to stir again here in Nth Hollywood (last night was a ripper!) Don't think I'll risk my SWK Thrifty today - that would be asking for touble.

You silly people- Kilts look killer with trench coats/leather dusters, and the long coats hold them down! It's as simple as that. At least, that's what I did today in Denver- it's snowy and windy as heck here!

True, but unfortunately, here in Southern California, wearing a trench coat would get one a bad case of heat stroke.

Oh... Sorry. I was thinking it was winter everywhere in North America. It's cold here- well, chilly. It's not supposed to get above 50 here in Denver. So for me, my leather duster is a great option.

I don't think I'd risk it, personally. Especially since I work on a school campus and the two story buildings tend to create their own swirling air currents that lift anything lighter than a textbook...
Maybe when I get my 22 oz Canadian military surplus in Black Watch I'll see how that holds up...

Just keep the wind on your left as much as possible, ad you should be OK. If it is swiring
just spin with it, no problemo.

Damn Santa Ana's just took down my fence! There goes at least 2K getting that repaired.
80 mile per hour gusts will do that you know. Still going for a walk this afternoon.
