Crazy Women, Weddings, and Crisis
Ok, so this evening I check my email this evening. I get a random chain mail thing from my ex-girlfriend. It was nothing important, just one of those random forward things that no one ever reads. It got me thinking though, that I hadn't received an email from the ex from quite some time, so I figured I would check her myspace and see if she had posted anything new on there. Looking back now, I realize that was a mistake...
So I log onto myspace, surf over to her page and notice its changed around a little bit, so I look down at her profile information and I notice that it now says "Married" I figure it was a joke or something. We're still on friendly terms and everything, and I consider her one of my best friends and all. Marriage is something pretty out of character for her. So I naturally think she put that on there as a joke.
I continue looking at her page, click on her pictures to see if she had any new pics on there. What do I see? FRICKIN WEDDING PICTURES! I can hardly believe my eyes. There she is, all married and stuff. The last time I looked at her myspace had to have only been a couple months ago, none of this stuff was on there, so I was quite surprised.
So you may be wondering why the title of this thread is "Crazy Women, Weddings, and Crisis" Now we get to the part where all hell breaks loose.
My fiancee had been asking to see some pics of my ex for a while, but I have misplaced all of my old pictures so I didnt have any to show her, and her myspace didnt actually have any pictures of her up until now. So she comes in to look at the wedding pictures...
What the first thing she says? "Thats my wedding dress! Thats the exact same dress I had picked out! damn it!"
Me being a guy, thus very stupid, say, "so?"
"what do you mean SO? I cant wear that dress now! I have to start all over again! Look for a completely different dress now, I cant get married in the same dress as your ex-girlfriend!"
:crap: Oh great.... here we go...
Me, "ummmmm, why not? I don't see what the problem is."
"Because I cant! see, watch...."
So what does she do? she goes and asks every frickin woman in town I think, and of course they all stick up for each other and say, "no, of course you cant get the same dress" As if theres some force of nature that says no two fricken women can ever possibly wear the same dress. Give me a break! Its not like every damn dress is one of a kind!
So, I look a little closer at the wedding pictures and I notice that the damn dress isnt even the same one as the one she showed me she picked out. So I call her on it... I say, "thats not even the same damn dress! show me a picture of the one you had picked out"
She pulls up the web page and whats on there? A similar looking dress, but NOT THE SAME ONE! So I figure I'm in the clear right? Its not the same dress, it only looks similar, well apparently I'm a stupid bastard...
"It does'nt matter! its too close to hers! I cant wear a dress that looks that much like your exes dress! whats wrong with you? Im going to have to find a whole new dress now! cant you understand that? "
Obviously not.... Then she tells me its my fault that the ex picked a similar looking dress. How is my fault? you may be wondering. I know I was sure wondering how she came to that conclusion. Apparently its my fault because I choose women with very similar tastes...
WOMEN!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

After years of experiance,I have at last discovered that the words "rational "and "women" should not be used in the same paragraph, never mind the same sentence!

I must be lucky, the lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess is the rational and logical one in our relationship.

This reminds me of the age old philosophical question, "If a man speaks in the woods and there is no woman to correct him, is he still wrong?" And of course, another question from a scientific viewpoint. If aliens were to visit our planet would we be able to understand them. The answer is of course not. WE have been living with women since creation and we still do not understand them.
