NYC St. Andrews Kilt Day/Kilt night 11/30/07
Does anyone plan for a kilt night in New York CITY / or HUDSON County,NJ < Hoboken, Jersey City, in honor of Scotland's patron saint?
Since November 30, 2007 falls on a Friday, can we say "Pub crawl" ?
Is anyone in New York city, planning on wearing a Kilt to work on St. Andrews day?
I work in mid town Manhattan east side. Anyone working in a casual attire office? I have worn my kilt at the office during NYC Tartan week
this past April.
The feast of Saint Andrew is observed on November 30 in both the Eastern and Western churches, and is the national day of Scotland.

Not up for a pub crawl, but I'm open to meeting for a few drinks.

Sounds good to me. lets see if we can pull a few other kilted folk here to turn out for good old Saint Andrew on his feast day. After all it is the closes thing we have to a national Scottish holiday. Friday November 30, 2007

I'm up for drinks in either NYC or Hoboken, hopefully the former.

I'm a hop, skip and a jump away from Hoboken.
Quite doable for me if that's the plan.

*lightbulb comes on*
Matter of fact, they have a pub called Scotland Yard.
It's quaint. I used to frequent there for the live jazz and blues bands.
Not stodgey, quite casual and laid back.
Just the name alone begs for a kilt night.

I think a future Kilt night should be put on the calendar for HOBOKEN @ the Scotland Yard Pub. Maybe in December? For those of us who live on the Jersey side and might be looking for for some thing local with local kilt wearing "cousins".
As for ST. Andrews feast Day Friday November 30, 2007 it seems to be a lock for NYC' St. Andrews Pub 45 street. 6:30 ish?

I just googled Scotland Yard in Hoboken: I could make it there without any difficulty. Or into NYC. I'm willing to accept the collective will.

I could make it if it's in NYC. NJ is too far to go from Long Island.
