World's best whisky?
I think Scotch is all a matter of opinion...buuuut this isn't a bad choice.

I have a song about Islay, the chorus goes
'Standing on the island of distilleries
You can almost see the coast of Heaven.'
For those that like whisky, a tour of the island must give them that impression.

I like my single malts, but if you're talking about world's besy whisky, then Irish whiskey should have a shot at it too, in which case I nominate Tullamore Dew.

Midleton! Without a doubt! By far the best Irish whiskey. If you haven't tried it, well...do yourself a favor!

"Give every man his Dew"
That is a good choice, I enjoy it along with Bushmills and Jamesons depending on my mood, or what's available. It's a good Irish.
Then there are all the Scotchs. Mmmmmmm......

My preference, on the rare occasion that I partake, would be Jameson.
That being said, I'm such a light weight that two domestic beers numb my lips.

Lagavulin, without a doubt.
I don't even like other kinds.

Is it wrong to say I can't stand Glenfiddich?
I really like Lagavulin (I think thats what is was). I used to say "even bad scotch is good scotch", until I developed a palate. I really enjoy the middle level scotch. The smokier the better as well. I don't know the name of them all, but I have drank several very nice scotch that cost more then I have ever paid for a drink before, and the more they cost, somehow the easier the smoke goes down. But don't let me sound like an expert....the most I've paid for a glass of scotch was $20.
I don't drink much nowadays, but I still enjoy a scotch now and again.
Cheers.
