    Tonights Festivities

Here are some photos from tonights get together. A good time was had by all. There was only one "question" and only one person made a comment relating to my orientation. It was all said in fun and with a smile and I took it as such. The sporran is from McGee's place on ebay, and the kilt pin was a gift from Mike McGee when he found out I was coming back to Iraq. If you need masonic wear, check him out.

Several people wanted photos taken with me, including the kitchen staff from India and the majority of the women in the camp. All two of them.

and there is the man, the myth and the legend, my friend Chase, who taught me tonight how to upload photos.

    The PSD tartan

That my friend is the Operation Iraqi Freedom: PSD tartan. Designed by Matt Newsome of the Scottish Tartans Museum, and registered at the Scottish Tartan Authority. This kilt was designed to comemorate the service of Private Military Contractors serving in Iraq. The brown and tan is the desert we fought in, the green is the new Iraq that we work to create, the red is the blood we shed and the black is the lives of our friends laid down for our misssion.

It was also sewn by Barb Tewksburry, and I highly recommend anyone having a kilt sewn to send her a PM. You may also do a serch on the PSD tartan on these forums, there may be some year old links discussing its creation.

Looking good; I thought Chase was going to take a kilt to Iraq with him also.

I don't know, but he sure hangs ornaments in the strangest place.

I'm sitting here laughing at a picture from the other side of the globe. Chase are those "brass"? A kilt would hide them better than a flight suit.
