Things just keep getting better and better!

So, I just confirmed today that my official start date for my new job is Jan. 7, which means tomorrow is my last day in my current position.

That's the good news. Here's the great news:
As far as payroll is concerned, I start my new job on Jan. 1, which means that the week of vacation I'm taking is going to be paid at the higher pay rate!

    Woo hoo! Free money!

Lucky you. I am happy for you. Do you know if you will be able to go to work kilted? That would be the topper.

Well, it's the same school district. Just a different site. I've gone to work kilted many times before, including today... I don't see why not, especially since the district has an extensive anti-discrimination policy, and it specifically prohibits discrimination based on ancestry....

Also, there's no dress code in our contract, so they can't impose one, and the kilt meets and exceeds the "modesty" standards for skirts in the teacher's dress code ...

I think I'll run it by my new boss beforehand. I'm going to inform him of my kiltedness not ask for permission.

    Hope you enjoy.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
