Oh, this is just great...
So the free time I was going to use to lose the 5 pounds I gained in Ireland are now being wasted on a video game. My brother just got Project Gotham Racing 4 for the X Box 360 and a steering wheel with it. I'm officially addicted and find myself stuck with the extra lbs I racked up over there. The only video games I play are racing games (and Civilization 4), and this new one is awesome!
Ah well, at least I'm having fun not doing anything!

Think of the poundage as souveniors. I still tote around the 20 I gained in Germany... god that was almost 10 years ago!

I lost weight when I went. That might have been due to the fact that I was backpacking (86lb pack)through the Wicklow Way for 10 days. Awsome exercise.

My wife and I just got a second controller for our PS2 and the Simpson's game for Christmas... At least it's something we can do together.
BTW... A semester in Ireland with good food and good beer, and you only gained five pounds?!?! Good job!

I wanted a Wii for Christmas, but they are all sold out, for now. At least with a Wii, you could stand up and get really active. Maybe just your wrist would get strong, but who knows.
DALE.
You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

My kids got a Wii for Christmas, and I tell you what. We all played that thing, and we were sweating. It can really be a workout. I was even sore yesterday from that thing.

Heck yeah, the Wii can be a great workout. Now you won't have Body By Jake from playing Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, but it IS being used in physical therapy suites and retirement homes as a sort of low impact exercise.
Any of the sports games or something like Raymans Raving Rabbids gives a nice workout.

Ah video games, my first addiction. Unfortunately due to current financial limitations, I have to mooch all my gaming fixes off of friends and family. That gets hard when they get tired of being slaughtered in halo 3.
Anyway, my current game is mass effect. Solid action and an amazingly well rpg.
