    Enough for a dayplaid?

    Hello all,
I have a 20 inch wide by more-than-long-enough piece of fabric left over from my latest project (still in progress), and I'm wondering if it's enough to make a dayplaid.
The last dayplaid I made was about 40" x 50", but I found that I folded it three times width-wise resulting in about a 13" width. Is there a standard size for a dayplaid, or "if it looks good, it is"?
    Thank ye much,

    Joshua

A day plaid is simply a tartan blanket worn casually over the shoulder. 20 inches seems a bit narrow for such a thing.

Typically, day plaids are the width of the fabric selvedge to selvedge (i.e. anywhere from 54 to 60 inches) and about 2 yards long. A fly plaid, incidentally usually comes in two sizes: 40" square or 54" square.
