Kilted Trip to the Petting Zoo - Picture Heavy.
Last weekend my family (wife and kids + me) and my mom and step dad went to a local (SPCA) Petting Zoo. They had a bunch of great animals. I was really surprised to see a Bengal tiger, bobcats, a wallaby, the black panther, and a black jaguar. This is in the city, just down the street from us, actually.
This was also my first pics of my new hose, which I got from my mother for Christmas.
Llama!
My son (not kilted today)
My Daughter feeding the deer
I swear the deer aren't running from my Xkilt, they were skiddish from being chased by other people's small children all day.

Cool. I like Bengal tigers.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

More Pics
We also visited the Virginia Living Museum a week ago, just my kids, my wife and me. Again lots of animals to see. This day I was wearing my Denim Utilikilt. You can see why I need the hose I got for Christmas (they are wool socks, just 1/2 height).
My daughter, Lavender, and the fishes.
My son and I checking out the flora.
Me enjoying my surroundings.
Me again. The socks are grey not white.
I could've watched to wolves for hours.
Sporran fodder?

LOL! Seems we have much in common. The tiger would've in well with a rabble, as we left the petting zoo he was batting (as only a tiger can) a keg. Trying, I think, to get the wee last drops liberated.

I've been decorating the room I'm in now, where the computer is, with tigers and tiger striped things including a tiger blanket on the bed. I'm also using zebras and those kinds of stripes too. Use them a lot in my art, like tiger and zebra sculptures. Lots of wolves too. Glad you had fun at the zoo.

Thanks for sharing! What is that x-kilt made of? I made a knife-pleated casual in a brushed grey canvas that looks identical...
Watched a documentary last night on how the development of dogs is inextricably linked to human culture--very interesting and it showed a lot of wolf behavior...I am scheming on my next project and it involves wolves, one of my power animals.

Its think it is 100% cotton. I can't remember for sure, I'll ask my wife . Its definitely more prone to wrinkles than my cotton/poly navu Xkilt. But I like it. I don't think its twill or brushed, again I'll ask my wife.
I have felt connected to wolves for a long time. I wear a celtic wolf pendant that I wear, in fact its was my first step on this path, its also what I "pinned" my wife with when we started dating.
