moving day
The movers are moving me today. Most of my stuff are going to storage as my new place is not yet ready to be moved in. I am a little emotional because I am moving from my family home of 12 years and into a condo by myself. I will be living on my own first time in many years. I have always lived with family.
The guys are not moving my kilts as they are coming with me to the place that I am staying.

I HATE moving day!
With that being said - Good Luck. I'm sure once the new place is ready and you are all moved in you're going to love it.

Good Luck with the move, Raph. You will certainly notice the difference once you have settled into your new condo - after all, the Mahon Avenue house was rather large for you on your own. Are you going to continue living in Burnaby? Please be sure to let me have your new permanent address sometime - I'd hate to lose touch.
All the Best, and
Take care,
Ham.
[PS: Say "Hi" to Nathaniel from me - when it's convenient!]

I am moving to Port Moody, and 5 minutes from Colin. I have lived in Burnaby for 12 years and I have heard plenty of good things about Port Moody from Colin.
Once I settle in and I will send every one my permanent address. I will also say hi to Nathaniel for you. He still remembers you and Dave.

Thanks Raph. I sincerely hope you will be much happier in Port Moody - it will be good for you to be away from the memories.
I remember what a delight Nathaniel was - and I am sure, still is. Being single, I have never enjoyed being close to children, but reading the 'Captain Underpants' stories to him in the car, and just having him with us as you entertained us so well, was one of the highlights of my holiday visit to Vancouver in 2005. I guess he has grown a lot since then!
Take care,
Ham.

Raph, I hope your move goes well. I remember moving out of the family home - it's stressful and emotional. I'm happy your kilts are going to be close by, and I hope your new place is ready soon. All the best!

Best of luck my friend! And what could be better than a kilt night to ease the anxiety? The Dublin Crossing St. Pats weekend kicks off on Friday. I'll be there about 5:00. They have festivities running all weekend with the big show on Monday. Great music and pipers and dancers and Guinness, OH MY!! Friday is "Wear Your Kilt Night". Can you say FREE PINT? I'll keep an eye out for you.

He is right up the street from me now Hamish. The happy middle ground is the St. James Well Irish pub, where you, Dave W., Raphael and myself enjoyed a summer bevie.
An avid mountain biker like Raphael will love Port Moody and the trails it has left
We look forward to having him in the 'hood.

I hear you. Have moved well over fifty times myself and never have liked it. But, if I hadn't moved never would have met my ex-wife and had the daughter and grandkids I have...
Hope it works out well for you...and if it doesn't, move again. And, how bad could it be - its Canada!!
