Dragnet Kilt Pin

I was thinking of getting the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Tartan,
otherwise known as the Police Tartan, and I even have a special kilt pin that I think would do the tartan and what it stands for good, it’s a miniature replica badge from the TV show Dragnet, a show I practically grew up on, that and 1 Adam-12.

The badge is 1 ¾ long and is heavy enough to keep the kilt in place, as opposed to the adjacent kilt pin, which measures 4 inches long, any thoughts on the size or anything else.

Looks to me like an interesting version of a kilt pin, and one which would definately invite a story to be told. Are you retired from the force?

No, I am not a police officer

, active duty Army. I plan on working as a police officer or sheriff deputy upon my retirement. I do have my Masters degree in criminal justice, and I just thought it would be an honor to the law enforcement community if I used that as a kilt pin.

I agree that's very cool. My Dad and Granddad were both LEO's. I think they would be honored.

For St. Paddy's Day I used a Garda Hat badge as a kilt pin with some orange, white and green felt behind it.

Looked good.

Of course you realize, Jack Webb was one of the Few, The Proud.
During family day, before graduation from boot camp, they showed an informational piece for visitors that featured Jack Webb talking about the Corps.

Every Tuesday night late at work, as I take a break in my car & catch up on paperwork, I tune in a local radio station that plays old time radio shows, and one they feature is "Dragnet"

My goodness, but this list is filled with people with the most amazing information. Thanks MoR, I did not know that. I too grew up on Dragnet. I think it is where I get my love of the 'roman policier' from...that and reading Agatha Christie at 12.
