Saw a Kilt in KC
So I was at Sam's club and I saw, for the first time, a kilted breathren!
The Sam's club was outside of Kansas City in Independence, MO. The town that President Truman was from (remember him?). What a shocker, it wasn't at a recen festival or the Highland games. He had on a safron kilt and a tweed flat top hat. I was astounded! It was a great sight and next time I might even have the knowall to say something besides hello.

Wow, that's got to be near as rare as another Kiltie in Des Moines. I do know that there are a few, but I haven't figured out where to find them except online, and only on other that way.

Simple -- look at:

And check the coming events page!
I'm hoping (touch wood) that we'll take the new wee bairn to Iowa later this summer to meet the "kith & kin", so perhaps a kilt night at the Court Ave. Brewing Co. would be in order?

Welcome Ron!
What are the chances of this eh? The very guy you saw, and you didn't even mention XMTS, shows up here that same day? Way cool!

Ron, Welcome to XMarks. Great that you and Chattan ran into each other kilted. I'm east of you guys over in Jeff City. I've worn a kilt daily for going on 3 years and have yet to run into another man wearing a kilt.

Other than at the odd game, I've run into very few fellow kilt wearers, but when I do, I always try to find time to have a short chat.
