I wouldn't actually consider it a waste of money, it's more like and expensive hobby where I pay to lose balls.

Didn't Mark Twain say that all golf did was ruin a good walk? ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Still, for "professional development purposes" I feel constrained to play, or play at, golf.
The comic is funny. I'm sure that there would be a lot of comments about how it does nothing but support the "shortbread tin" image of Scotland, though.
"To the make of a piper go seven years of his own learning, and seven generations before. At the end of his seven years one born to it will stand at the start of knowledge, and leaning a fond ear to the drone he may have parley with old folks of old affairs." - Neil Munro

I was looking for the source of that quote. For some reason I had always thought it was the late, great Spike Milligan. Without wishing to stray too far off topic, one of my favourite golf quotes was from Jim Bishop: "Golf is played by twenty million mature American men whose wives think they are out having fun"
