Phoenix next weekend
I'll be in Phoenix on Friday the 11th. Anyone want to get together?

I have my son that night, so I don't know if I'll be able to get out. Maybe some of the other local Phoenix guys might be able to organize something so that if I am able to get out that I can just meet up with all of you. Do you happen to know what part of town you'll be in, because we have kilties all over the valley.

Are you only going to be here on the 11th or will you be in town for a few days?
I could meet on the 11th, though. How about letting us know when you're getting in, where you'll be staying & when you're leaving; we'll try to work something out.

I won't be able to make it over to Phoenix, but I will watch for the darkening of the skys...
I forgot to say and and also "shazbot nanu nanu...
Man, you make the most obscure references of anyone I know! (The shazbot part I mean!)
We'll be staying at the 4 Points Sheraton Metro Center. 10220 North Metro Parkway East, wherever the heck that's at! We'll be getting in on Thursday evening. The rehearsal dinner for the wedding is Friday at 3:00. The wedding is Saturday, and we're leaving early Sunday morning.

The exclamation, "Shazbot!" & the line, "Na nu Na nu" was made famous by Robin Williams as Mork in the TV comedy/sitcom "Mork & Mindy." The phrase, "shazbot na nu na nu" was also used by Bon Scott, a fan of Robin Williams, at the end of the AC/DC song, Night Prowler.
Anyway, as to your visit...
Wow, you'll be staying in my neck of the desert! Less than a couple of miles away. Sounds like a fairly tight schedule. Would you be able to meet on Friday night? There's a couple of fine Irish pubs within a mile from where you're staying or it be a short drive on the 101 over to the Scottsdale Tilted Kilt. Would any of that work for you?

First- I know exactly where the phrase came from (I'm a bit of a Robin Williams fan) and was impressed at the shazbot part. Most people only remember nau nanu. I didn't know the ACDC reference, though, so I learned something new! Thanks a lot!
We actually want to do something with the whole lot o' you on Friday night. That was already built into the schedule.

Cool, Friday night it is, then!
Did you have a particular time (X)marked on your schedule for this gathering of the Rabble? 7pm? 8pm? 9pm?
As I mentioned, if an Irish pub sounds good to you, there's 2 nearby - O'Connor's (a very fine establishment that's been a mainstay on the NW side for many years)
http://www.oconnorspub.com/
or a new pub called Tim Finnegan's
http://www.timfinnegans.com/
There'll be live music at Tim Finnegan's at 9pm Friday the 11th, if that's of any interest to you. Usually there'd be live entertainment on Friday night at O'Connor's, too, but no one is scheduled, yet, though that could change.
Let's us know what sounds good to you & we'll try to rustle up the Rabble to meet you & yours.

And it is a double obscure reference, Night...hawk. Hoo ha ha ha naaaaaaah
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I didn't get the second one. That was good.
