"Culloden" in Ontario!
The annual "Culloden" reenactment/living history event (which moves around to different venues year by year) will be held in Ontario for 2008.
The date is Sunday, 18 May, and the location is "Westfield Heritage Village" in Rockton, Ont.
In addition to the battle reenactment, 1746 period camps of the British and Jacobite armies will be open to the public....

That is not far from Toronto at all, perhaps our bunch should make a day of it. I could even give you a chance to see your old kilt again.

I'd love to meet up with the Ontario X-Markers! I'll be at the event as a participant, of course....

With this amount of warning I'm sure we can work something out, I think it would be great.

Oh a chance to take the Scottish rebels down a peg, and only 30 minutes away. I'm up for it.

That's one of my vacation days, so I should be able to make it.

Just for that, this Scots-American with an English surname will have show up that day wearing the tartan for that name, and whack you with a wooden chicken.
Why a wooden chicken? Because in 1746 they didn't make them out of rubber, and using a stone chicken would just be rude.
