Sheep/shop cleanout
Hello all,
Spring is coming, and I'm cleaning out stuff again. I found a forgotten bin deep under the cutting table. It was full of weird stuff.
These are the remainder of a run of chalk bags we made for climbers. I cut them from sheepskin, then added recycled fleece legs and a body, then leather eyes, ears, and a nose. I cut matching liners from laminated fleece, and set a grommet behind the ears for a draw cord that closes the inner bag with a cinch.
<images deleted>
I finished 1/2 of them with a stiffened piece of webbing at the lip, but there are 34 of them left unassembled.
I'm at a complete loss for further ideas, nor do I have time to tinker with them. Any bright ideas out there? Wanna barter for something fun? I've saved one for a new sporran. They're about the perfect size, though the orientation of the mouth is straight up, not facing down like a full animal mask. Warning!- this is thick sheepskin. There will be fluff involved.
Cheers,
Kevin.

Turn them into sheep bonetts... With the little legs sticking up in the air and the sheep head sticking out up-side-down in the front.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I can't say I've seen any fluffy sheep skin sporrans. What if you gave them a hair cut?

Yup, I remember those. I thought these have a chance of being more, shall I say, traditional? Those are definately a "funny" sporran.

Hello all,
I think I'll steer away from Sporran making.
If I were to make sporrans, I'd buy up whole herds of vanquished Beanie Babies, and corners the kids market. There must been millions of those lying under glass.
Maybe some purses.
Kevin.

Make 'em a tad bigger, with a wider mouth, and you can go into the cat toy business...

Well, they look pretty fun but if they could morph into a wool inverness cape then..... well....
