Pattern for jacobite waistcoat
My wife wants to make me a jacobite waistcoat for christmas.
Can anybody help me with a pattern?

Barkertown Sutlers makes such a waistcoat. Perhaps the the designer would be willing to sell the pattern. On the webby, look under "Highland Clothing" rather than "Waistcoats" as the Highland waistcoats are cut shorter to accommodate the kilt. If I remember correctly the clothing designer's name is Missy.

Don't have time to look right because I'm getting ready for work. Check Smoke & Fire's website. They sell all kinds of period patterns. They might sell one that is close and you might have to make a slight modification to the plans.

If you're talking about the 1745 Jacobite period, this pattern is best:

It's for standard 18th c. waistcoats of the period (with or without sleeves). For Highland use, you would simply make it shorter - to just below the pockets....

I sewed a waistcoat from this pattern last summer, for that "Jacobite look".
Fairly straightforward pattern, easy to sew, and worked out great.
