A final problem
Well, today I got some even more bad news. I was due to fly out to America in a week but my doctors found that I have 2 blood clots.
One of them is not much of a problem, but the other has already moved a good deal and I have to stay in the country for another 6 weeks to have it treated.
It's a very frustrating delay but my doctor has terrified me with tales of my possible expiration should I go without the treatment much longer.
Luckily I have been able to get the flights changed and reschedule everything.
So now it looks like I will be arriving in Boise in mid-August.
Fingers crossed this is the last hurdle!

You definitely do NOT want to fly with a blood clot! I'm glad they spotted this and are treating it. Your patience will be worth it!

Ack! Yes, hopefully this will be the LAST hurdle!
*hugs to you, Diane, and Pip*

Best of Luck on it Arlen.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys.
I start my treatments on Monday and the doctors are well aware that I am moving to the states, so they are making sure everything goes fast and smooth.
Hey Greg, it does mean I will be here if you make another trip to Glasgow!

Good luck Arlen. My mother had a blood clot a few years ago, they are scary but very treatable.
Get well soon so you can be on your way,
Sara

Hope all goes smooth. I had one a few years back and If you Just Stay Still, and take the meds, you'll be fine. can't wait to say Welcome to the Gem State.

Thank heavens your medicos found this! Those can easily be fatal, even in younger folks! Take care and know that you are in my prayers.

Good Luck and best wishes for a complete recovery, One suggestion though arrange for a stateside Doctor so you can keep up your followup!
