    Am I spoiled now?

My first kilt which I have had for about a year now is a SWK Irish National Standard. I wouldn’t say I wear it often but do wear it on occasion (I still haven’t made that leap yet). It fits great, is comfortable and I love it! I had intended to pick-up SWK heavyweight but have been waiting to see if Jerry was going to offer a greater selection of tartans in the heavyweight line.

In the meantime I had an opportunity to pick-up heavyweight 16 oz. - 8+ yard Kilt in Stewart Old Modern that was made by Gaelic Themes. I was told it was worn a couple of times. It came by Fed Ex yesterday. It looks brand new and fits like a glove!! (I will post some pictures when I get a chance).

    What a difference!!!

The feel of the material, the fit, the comfort….I could go on and on!!

My wallet (and wife) may say no, but I don’t think I can go back!!!!

(don’t worry Jerry, I most likely will be back)

Yep, that'll spoil ya! But it works out, really it does. I had 2 SWK Standards already when I got my 8yd Hand Sewn from Scotland, and still went back and purchased one of Jerry's Heavy Weights. I have another of those on my wish list, as well as a few more tanks.

I remember my very first wool kilt fondly and I remember thinking at the time that I had suddenly become a "wool only" kilt snob - and - I was right. Hey... who else is gonna spoil you?

    Enjoy!

I own a Thrifty from Jerry and two heavyweights. I will say that the hand on the Australian Merino wool the Blackwatch is made from is great - on a par with the handmade kilt from Scotland I bought on Ebay with a James Pringle label.

There is a major difference between the wool and the acrylic.
