Dinnae wear a purple anorak an a Gold Brothers PVC kilt tae yer local heilan games.
The heavy rain which had been forecast for the afternoon, and which caused me to leave all my best kilts hanging up at home, did not arrive until after the games had finished. Here these smartly dressed pipers from Hawick Pipe Band show how one should dress for these events.
Tug o' War final - the team from Hawick Rugby Club who were eventual winners.
Their opponents were a team from Hawick Leisure Centre.
Grand finale, the massed pipe band comprising Coldstream, Jedburgh, Melrose and Selkirk pipe bands, wi baith o the local bands.

But at least you're wearing a Hunting Robertson - same as the Jedburgh pipe band.

Wow Alex, these are great photos. Looks like you had a great time.

Another most excellent pictorial. Perhaps I've been missing something but who is the dashing looking young fellow amongst the pipe band members? Clean cut and closely shaved looks VERY good on you Alex!! Best wishes to you and Ann.
