How freaking amazing would it be to have your own estate tweed?!!? Ah well, I guess it would require an estate first... baby steps, Greg, baby steps.

Well Greg, they always say to dress for the job you want. Maybe you could dress for the estate you want!
Who know. It just might work, and even if it doesn't you still look sharp.

This thread is a bit old, but has anybody ordered anything from them? I would love to have some custom woven tweed. I'm sure it's quite expensive.

Many thanks for the link, Phil.

I've not heard of these folks, but love the look of what they do.

I can see it now: the Storrington Estate tweed (but only in my dreams!)

    Take care,
    Ham.

    Just an update everybody:

I contacted Iain (the founder?) about ordering up some tweed. He sent me a gallery link with all their current stock (which includes the type of material, how much they have and a description of the weave.)

They have many nice tweeds available right now. I found one I really like and asked how much they charge per yard (technically by the metre.) He gave me the prices and said he would send me a sample of their shetland wool in the tweed I like. Through further conversation, he decided he'd throw in some cashmere in the tweed I like, as well as a small sample of their teflon coated cloth.

The prices are extremely fair. The shetland being about the price of PV tartan, lambswool slight more, and cashmere about the price of 16oz. wool. They weave single width only, however.

    Very nice fellow.
