    Kilted Safari Wear

We, the members of X Marks the Scot , are a discerning bunch in regards to our attire.

What do we wear when we are called to tropical climes?

    For the Gentleman

Jacket from Kevin Kinney of Empire Canvas Works. This prototype jacket was not cut for a kilt but I simply folded the edges of the jacket up. My Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess is going to fashion snaps or buttons to make this wonderful jacket convertible between a kilt jacket and a regular one. It is a wonderful piece. The sporran is courtesy of our own Tattoo Bradley.

    Speaking of my lovely wife...

What does the wife of the well dressed kilted man wear whilst on safari?

    Something like this!

    Hmmm...but what about the children?

Finding ourselves in need of some children's Black Watch kilts we called on Jerry V. of Stillwater Kilts.

All that is missing is the gun bearer with the exquisitely engraved double rifle. Ahh, the wife of the well dressed kilted gentleman carries a whip. Is the whip to beat back the horde of adoring females attracted to the pith helmet? A good look on both of you either way.

    Jamie,

You need a "Jimmie" on that sporran.
