Possibly the World's ugliest Tartan
In July 1993 Our local paper had an article about a couple here who designed and registered a Tartan under the name "City of Victoria Tartan".
They describe it thus;
We chose the colors for Victoria things. The "atmosphere and heritage of British Columbia". They reflect old red brick, granite stone topped with oxidized turquiose copper domes, accents of ox-blood red and hunter green and the "warmth of Victorian old rose".
Edith and Alec Armstrong have looms set up on their West Bay Marina houseboat and use Angora Wool from their farm in the middle of Vancouver Island blended with Mohair.
What say the rabble? We all agree that Isle of Skye is one of the most beautiful Tartans but we have never voted on the ugliest Tartan.
I submit this as my vote.

The background is Khaki colored or beach sand.
The Red is sort of the color of burgundy wine.
The Green is British Racing Stripe Green.
And yes, that is pink.
And yes, I'm sorry to say that is indeed Turquoise.

Hey! I think that tartan is in Pleater's latest story, "Empire of Fashion."
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

OOOOOHHHHHH
The colours, the stripes, the disorder and chaos of pattern - oh dear, I feel rather faint.
THUD
OOh mon Dieu, Erzulie, 'elp me, Madam Director - she 'as fainted.
Stand aside Fifi, I'll just fan her with this sample of blue and gold tartan and it will bring her round in no time. See, it has a perfect pattern repeat and a proper kilt selvage - now just put a cover over that screen before she sits up, and hide those dreadf

I would consider holding the generation who created that responsible.

Grant, the reason we chose this Tartan for your thong is the background color goes so well with your chicken.

This tartan screams fifty's fashionista. They didn't miss a trick - everything from the kitchen towel to the pink flamingo in the front yard. Someone needs to go to color theory class - and I need some Pepto-Bismol.
