Question Knitting pattern for kilt hose?

Does anyone have, or know where I can get, a good knitting pattern, or patterns, for kilt hose?

I have the Folkwear pattern instructions. It's a knee-length argyle with a cuff. I'd be happy to send it to you because I will never need it!

I recently found a really nice and inexpensive book of sock patterns in which there was a beautiful pattern for what they called "knee-high's", it looked exactly like the kilt hose I've been seeing - it had several page of instructions and patterns. I found this book at a Pacific Fabrics store near me. You might check out the sewing/fabric/craft stores in your area.

My wife uses that site extensively. It's like "X Marks" for the knitting community. She loves it.

    You might try these sites:

    http://www.highlandxpress.com/tartanhosekit.html

    http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting...n-anderson.htm

    http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter07/PATTtoirneach.html

Use the search feature this discussion has bee held before.

I like to use the sockulator to give the basic size and then use Knitting fool to find a cable pattern.
If you see abbreviations, initials or acronyms you do not know the Xmarks FAQ section on abbreviations may help.
