    Yes, it seems like most do without. I prefer it without, because I don't like the hihg 5-button vest you usually wear with an argyll. Thanks!

    I like both, but I think for me it depends on the Argyll. My fuzzy tweed one didn't come with a vest, and I like it that way. When I wear the black one I wear it more often with the vest, but without as well. It's kind of like those three-piece suits I used to wear - it depends on the day whether the vest gets worn or not.

    If I'm going to wear a waistcoat, I'll wear my PC... or just the waistcoat. It looks fine with the Argyll, but in Florida it's often a matter of heat.

    I wear it both ways, depending on the situation. I find I more often prefer to wear the waistcoat than not though.

    I wear mine without a waistcoat. However, if I were wearing my kilt to a more formal event than usual, I would most certainly wear a waistcoat with my Argyll jacket.

    I agree...with or withour is totally up to you.
    My question is, if you do decide on the vest, would you wear the belt or not?

    Waistcoat = no belt
    The reason is that the belt can cause the Waistcoat to jut out un-naturally.
