    Montrose Doublet redux

I decided to get some better shots of my Montrose Doublet as the others were taken inside at night, I also thought I'd wear the diced hose with a kilt that has considerably more Red than in the last photos. After I took these I bumped into an English gent in my appartment building who absolutely loved the ensemble and had to ask me all sorts of questions. He said the last time he was in Scotland was as an RAF officer during the war, it was a good little chat, he even called his wife out to see me.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And I plan on finding out what that is.

The doublet looks great. I like the hose with the red in the kilt. With the hose matching the kilt I find they don't detract attention from the kilt but yet still add to the overall attractiveness of the entire outfit. I hope that made sense it's been a long week at work!!
    Looking very sharp Glen,

You look like the hero of some literary effort by Sir Walter Scot!

    Well done!

    Cheers

Congratulations Glen. I am not a fan of diced hose as many already know but, what an improvement over your previous ensemble featuring the red/white diced hose! To my mind, they stand a chance of working only when there is a lot of red in the kilt, and you're not going to find much more red than you have there. Well done.

[PS: I just do not 'get' the photo of the young guy and your caption! Is this a reference to something very North American, or have I missed something elsewhere?]

    Take care,
    Ham.

These doublets look very nice. Well, Glen, you qualify for a fly plaid. Gonna get one?
