Greetings from Campbell, CA
Hello to all! My name is Matt and I live in Campbell, CA. I've been a long time lurker and have enjoyed reading the posts of this kilted community. I have celtic roots from both sides of my family. I'm 1/8 scottish on my mother's side (Murray) and 1/8 irish on my father's side (O'Keeffe). Hence the name QuarterCeltic.
I have yet to buy my first kilt, and after reading the posts here, my wish list grows and grows. My 8 month old son Liam is kilted (someone has to be in this household!) and he wore his first kilt this weekend for the highland games in Pleasanton. He has a SK Baby Kilt in the California tartan.
Thanks and happy kilting!
Matt

Welcome to the board. When I lived in San Jose, I visited your fair town every Thursday night to enjoy kilt night at the King's Head Pub.

Unfortunately, the Kings Head is no more. It has new owners and is now called The Spot.

I heard that had happened. The original owners have opened another pub. It's called "Ye Olde Royal Oak Pub", and is located near the airport on Coleman Ave. (the old Coleman Still building.) My friend Richard Brown (he is the Chief of the Highlander Warriors) tells me Thursday night is Celtic night with live Celtic music. Here's the Royal Oak's website http://www.meetmeattheoak.com/
The Kings Head had a deal for Celtic night, wear a kilt and get a dollar off your drink. I would bet they have the same deal at the new place.
