A Thistle amongst a Rose
We went to the Blue Springs Blaze Off. It is a barbeque competition. Anyway, you buy tickets, then you use them for samples from the vendors. The samples are the way to go, for one ticket you get a cup full of pork, brisket, chicken, or sausage. One of the vendors gave my wife a rose. On the way out we noticed the thistle was in bloom:

Enjoy,
I do...

Marriage of 'the Thistle and the Rose'. It was this marriage into the English royal family which was to lead eventually to the Scots succession to the throne of the Tudors in 1603.

Interesting. I wonder where the Catanachs were during the reign...?

Hey Tom,
Let me know when you are in town again.
Maybe kilt night (Clancys, Trouser Mouse...)
