    Kilted Pirates?

The Celtic band, The Golden Bough, is playing at the Portland OR Pirate Festival this weekend. They decided that today, instead of wearing pure pirate garb, they would appear kilted in pirate garb. I'm stuck at work, but I hope to enjoy some photos of them.

We have a band in Colorado who have a Celtic pirate theme! http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...iendid=8540332

They're awesome! They're violinist/fiddler is actually an old friend of mine from middle school. I hadn't seen her since '89, and I saw the band this summer and was reunited with her. It was very cool.

    Ask and you shall receive.

I became an impromptu part of their show. I happened to stroll up kilted as they were singing donnie wheres your trousers. They made it a big deal to point me out.

    PERFECT!!

Thank you. My dear husband is the chubby bodhran player. He played so hard he sprained his hand. It was so swollen he didn't get to play, kilted or not on Sunday. Poor guy!! The day the photo was taken was Margie's (the female singer) birthday. They are really nice folks.

Those guys look like a lot of fun. Too bad I'll probably never get to see them. Ah well. Such is life.

The band is called The Golden Bough. They do a lot of travelling, so you may watch for them.
