    Mini Pub Crawl

Took off on early bus to Merthyr Tydfil

Just over an hour later this was greeting us in wetherspoons

    Which was duly purchased....

Then they went shopping, so we downed this one quickly and then had another one .... very nice it was too

Then we took ther small hopper bus into the mountains and went back to the Red Cow where we went last weekend as well .. it started getting busy .. it was a beautiful hot day

    This was at the bar

Again an immediate purchase was made and enjoyed

A little later we were back on the bus stop waiting for the hopper bus

And an hour and a half later we were back in the city in a Lloyds - Wetherspoon bar drinking Old Snarler 5.8% ... it was ok with a very distinctive flavour

It was another good crusade and for anyone still edgy bout wearing a Kilt our and about ..... just forget you got it on and go about your business .. no one takes any notice or cares.

Very true Derek just wear the cilt/kilt and let others worry about it!

Wetherspoons in Merthyr is the Dic Penderyn as I recall.

Maybe we should organise a Cardiff version of the world famous Dumfries pub crawl sometime!

Now that sounds like a fab idea Trefor. So if any xmarkers are up for a old historic pub tour of south wales when they are in the uk or living here and fancy an adventure, on the buses by the way so you can more than sample en route .. just let Tref n me know by pm .. we will take it from there. And anyone adventurous can have a caving trip thrown in as well ... and yes you can wear your kilt there too, and only 2 miles away when you exite the cave is the Angel, a fab real ale house, which a pint always goes down well straight after.

ai have foond that several o' the ales at assorted Wetherspoons have

    a "distinctive" taste...

it is because o' the wa' the clean their lines... (they leave caustic soda in o'er nicht...)

it's bacteria... an no very guid tastin' bacteria at that!

Great fotos, Derek, soon as I can get there I'd like to join you for a pub crawl. Just curious about your flashes- how are they shaped?
