September Nor Cal Rabble Beer and Kilts (again)

First, off.... if a gathering of kilted mates is called a "rabble"...what is a gathering of owls called?

(answer at the bottom of this post)

BEER and kilts night is this Friday, September 26th from 5 pm on. Rain-or-Shine at the Devils Canyon Brewery in San Carlos. Most of the kilt crew starts trickling in around 7 pm, although no doubt that Tim will be there at 5... first in line for a cold brew and checking out the opening band.

Congregate with lots of cool singles, couples, families (and occasional sporran hating pug dogs). Beer (and kilts) night is a no stress meet-and-greet with cool, fun loving people in a casual, relaxing, atmosphere. No cover charge! Live music, great hot food at really decent prices, indoor and outdoor seating with cozy propane heat lamps and couches inside & outside! Rub elbows with good looking men and sophisticated women in a kilt-friendly atmosphere! You can also rub elbows with Panache and Alan H! Come with plans to have fun! Bring a friend (or two)!

$3 gets you a pint of an award-winning microbrew, though, the first pint costs $6 because you get a official trophy DCB glass. The DCB brews up their fantastic "Full Boar Scotch Ale" as well as about a 1/2 dozen other great draft selections!

Strap on your kilt and come join the fun! The proprietors will be expecting us, not to mention all the "regulars".

ATTENTION: X Marks regulars, we have a matter of some importance regarding our presence at future Highland Games to discuss, so please come this Friday if you possibly can!

Devil's Canyon Brewing Company: 111 Industrial Way #7, Belmont CA 94002

For more information here is the website for the Devils Canyon Brewery

    http://www.devilscanyonbrewery.com/

WARNING: This place can be a bit tricky to find the first time, so pay attention; It is located in the north/east corner of the Harbor Business Center, right off of Harbor Blvd exit from S/B Hwy. 101, driveway just east of Industrial. It can be a bit difficult to find the first time. Just copy down the detailed directions from the link above and you'll find it! If in doubt, park in the lot and listen for the music!

They are open to the public just one night per month. They call the event "Beer Friday." Their doors open at 5 pm and things tend wrap up between 11 pm and midnight. We have no affiliation with the brewing company, it is just a convenient location on the San Francisco Peninsula and a great place to hold a casual mixer in a central location.

Jezus! Kilts and beer! Why I'm living so far away????

Please do have me in your minds, at least for one sip of beer.

Ah' yes. Where is the punch line? (I am definitely opting for the "Hooters Convention" myself!)

I think I'm going to leave the kilt at home and show up naked.

Well, I'll wear a shirt. And socks. And shoes. And maybe a sporran. Gotta have somewhere to put your cash.

Now I know why we haven't traveled out that way for one of the beer/kilt nights.
